Samantha Faiers (born 30 December 1990) is an English television personality and former glamour model. Faiers is best known for starring as herself in the ITV2 semi-reality programme ''The Only Way Is Essex''. In 2014, she competed in the thirteenth series of ''Celebrity Big Brother'', finishing in fifth place. ==Early and personal life== Faiers was born in Brentwood, Essex, to parents Suzanne "Sue" Wells and Lee Faiers. She has an older sister, Billie, who also stars on ''The Only Way Is Essex''. Their parents split up when Sam and Billie were very young and their mother later married David Chatwood.〔 Chatwood was arrested in 2011 after plotting to steal £1.1million in gold and silver bullion, but was released in May 2013.〔 Faiers was dating fellow ''TOWIE'' star Joey Essex, but they later split in 2012, before reconciling later that year. Essex then proposed to Faiers in March 2013 on a holiday in Dubai and she accepted. However, they split again on screen in June 2013 following several arguments between the pair. In February 2014, Faiers was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. It is believed that she first displayed symptoms during her time in the ''Celebrity Big Brother'' house.
